Loot Council is how the majority of the gear we receive is distributed. There's a very good reason for this: in a full EP/GP system, people are hesitant to acquire GP for small upgrades, or items such as bracers and boots. People invariably would save up for Tier and Weapons, and pass on items that Are upgrades for them. To avoid this situation (ie, SoB DE'ing the BiS throwing weapon off Flame Leviathan in the first week of Ulduar), only the most highly sought after items are distributed using the EP/GP system. The remaining items are distribute by the Loot Council.


-The Loot Council takes bids for an item, and then decides who receives the item from among the bidders.
-The Loot Council comprises of 3 officers, usually the RL and two other officers.
-In situations where one of the members of the Loot Council is bidding on an item, another officer will take their place, to avoid Bias.
-All officers are free to voice their opinions with reference to LC decisions, and they often supply input.
-Loot council decisions are made via Officer Vent.
-Loot council decisions are not open to debate. If you wish to lodge a complaint, report it discretely to /o chat after the raid and it will usually be addressed.


The most important thing to know about Loot Council: We put a lot of time and consideration into our decisions. Some of the things we consider include:

-Raider Attendance, both recent and in the past.
-Raider Performance, including output and awareness.
-Recent LC decisions and item distribution.
-Class/spec and item stat distribution/armor type (cloth goes to cloth first, leather to leather, etc.).
-Degree of upgrade for each bidder.


Tank Priority

Tank prio is something that Unleashed uses to insure our main tanks are geared enough to clear progression content easily.

-Only a small number of tanks in the guild are considered main-tanks, and have access to Tank Priority.
-Tank prio gives the relevant main-tanks instant priority on LC items they bid for, and can also over-rule EP/GP priority.
-Tanks are only added to tank prio after a great deal of consideration.
